Opinion

Most tech content is boring on purpose.

Not because the people writing it are boring. Because safe content gets clicks, and safe content does not get you yelled at on social media. So everyone writes the same thing: listicles, roundups, thought leadership that says nothing. Polite. Neutral. Exchangeable.

We are not interested in polite.

Duelling Hares exists because ideas should compete. Not in a bloodsport way. In a “put two arguments in a room and see which one walks out” way. Every post, every tool, every opinion we publish has to earn its place. If it cannot survive disagreement, it does not belong here.

Building in public is not a trend for us. It is the only way to work. We publish the ugly first drafts, the arguments we are not sure about, the things that might be wrong. Because hiding behind a finished product is easy. Showing the work is hard. And hard is where the signal lives.

Here is what we believe:

  • › Build things, not landing pages. Show us what it does.
  • › Say what you mean. If you cannot explain it in one sentence, you do not understand it.
  • › Disagree better. The goal is not to win an argument. It is to find the truth.
  • › Ship or shut up. Talk is a cheap form of nothing.
  • › Automate everything that can be automated. Then automate more.
  • › Avoid buzzwords like they cost you money. Because they do.

This site is a workshop. The posts are prototypes. The tools are experiments. Some of it will work. Some of it will fail. All of it will be public.

If you want safe takes and measured opinions, there are twelve thousand newsletters for that. If you want someone who shows you the process, the failures, and the actual output, you are in the right place.

We are Duelling Hares. We build. We argue. We ship. And we never publish anything we would not stand behind in a room full of people who disagree.
